Intensive Care Coordination/Family Support and Training (CSA): Voluntary caregiver-led service in which the Intensive Care Coordinator (Master’s level clinician) and a Family Partner (parent with lived experience) support the family in assembling an interdisciplinary team of professional and natural support. The team then works to collaboratively develop goals and provide support to the family system. This service is entirely voluntary, and the caregiver has the final say on all goals and how to measure their completion. This service is funded via MassHealth and commercial health insurance and is subject to prior authorization from the insurance company, as well as the requirement that the child meets the criteria for serious emotional disturbance (SED).
In-Home Therapy: Voluntary caregiver-led service in which an In-Home Therapist (IHT) clinician and a paraprofessional Therapeutic Training Support Specialist (TTS) provide in-home family therapy. This service is entirely voluntary, and the caregiver has the final say on all goals and how to measure their completion. This service is funded via MassHealth via the Child Behavior Health Initiative (CBHI), and is subject to prior authorization from insurance companies and the requirement that the child meets the criteria for serious emotional disturbance (SED).
Therapeutic Mentoring: Voluntary caregiver-led service in which a paraprofessional Therapeutic Mentor (TM) visits the child regularly and works on goals set by a related service hub (ex: outpatient therapist, ICC, IHT, psychiatrist, etc). This service is hub-dependent and cannot be offered without a clinical service hub in place. The hub clinician regularly meets with the TM and oversees progress on goals.
In-Home Behavioral Services: Voluntary caregiver-led service in which a master's level In-Home Behavior Therapist (IHBT) and a paraprofessional Behavior Monitor work with a family to conduct a functional behavior assessment, collaboratively set behavior goals, and work with the family toward those goals. This service is funded via MassHealth via the Child Behavior Health Initiative (CBHI) as well as commercial health plans, and subject to prior authorization from insurance companies. This service does NOT require that the child meets the criteria for serious emotional disturbance (SED). IHBS helps families design a behavioral plan to target behavior issues at home and establish routines in the home where caregivers can feel confident in managing their child’s behavior. This is not an ABA service and should not be considered an ABA or BCBA service. An In-home behavioral therapist will work with the caregivers to set goals to address the behaviors of the youth in the home and a behavioral monitor will help the family follow the goals by practicing & modeling different strategies and interventions in the home.
- Stand-Alone Family Partner: The Family Partner (parent with lived experience) works under the supervision of a non-ICC hub (ex: outpatient therapist, IHT, psychiatrist, etc) to work on parenting skill-building goals in the hub provider's treatment plan. This service is hub-dependent and cannot be offered without a clinical service hub in place. The hub clinician regularly meets with the FP and oversees progress on goals. This service is funded via MassHealth via the Child Behavior Health Initiative (CBHI) and is subject to prior authorization from insurance companies and the requirement that the child meets the criteria for serious emotional disturbance (SED)
