Walden Community Services has worked with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) where we provide family stabilization via Family Networks for families with a deaf or hard of hearing child or for families where the parents are deaf or hard of hearing.
Walden Community Services has contracts with different DCF offices throughout the state of Massachusetts for families with a deaf/hard of hearing family member. We are able to be the point of entry for families where we can optimize the referral process for families who may need services from various agencies such as parent support, family stabilization, after-school services, assessment & tracking, or out of home placements. The clinicians at WCS provide coordination for referrals, facilitates family team meetings, and may provide supervised visits if parents are deaf and language assessments are needed. In order to have family network services, the youth and family are required to be involved with the Department of Children and Families.
