The Learning Center for the Deaf (TLC) Marie Philip School (MPS) championship girls volleyball team will be recognized at Worcester's Polar Park in April.
Polar Park will be hosting a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Awareness Night on April 29th, and MPS' girls volleyball team will be recognized on the field for their outstanding season. The team will sign ‘Play Ball!’ in ASL from home plate as part of pre-game ceremonies.
“Our girls have worked tremendously hard this season. Our championship is a result of our dedication to each other and to the game,” said Jeremy Cormier, Athletics Director at TLC. “We are excited and honored to be a part of this event and we look forward to celebrating our student athletes.”
A special ticket package offered to student athletes, families and the broader TLC community includes access to a semi-private hospitality space for the entire game, as well as a two hour all-you-can-eat buffet.
After the game, a fireworks show will also be displayed (weather permitting).
Additional tickets are now available through the WooSox website.
